Camp Men-O-Lan Annual Banquet

Camp Men-O-Lan held its Annual Appreciation Banquet at Christopher Dock High School on Saturday evening, March 1. Board President, Terry Derstine, welcomed the 175 enthusiastic constituents of Camp who turned out to enjoy a delicious full course pork dinner.

Three former campers/counselors told the audience about the impact MOL has had on their lives, followed by an overview of 2007 by Executive Director, Clyde Smoll and insight into the plans for 2008 by Department Managers, Karen Roberts, Sheila Ruth and Steven Panning. The keynote speaker was Juan Marrero, Executive Director of Crossroads Community Center, Philadelphia, PA. Juan is also a Bible teacher at Camp each summer and stressed the value and influence that Camp MOL has on the lives of the youth it ministers to. The evening concluded with musical selections by The One Voice Handbell Choir, directed by Holly Hageman. A freewill offering was received to purchase, a Golf Cart, Three Paddle Boats and a Robotic Pool Cleaner.
